I've come up with my own "Best of Halifax...and Beyond" list (with some extra superlatives thrown in). But unlike The Coast, I haven't polled a mass of readers. I have a sample survey of ONE--yours truly.

Best Rule administered by a Music Venue in Halifax: Don't talk during paid music performances at The Carleton. (It’s not even really a rule if you’re digging the great talent).
Sexiest Voice for narrating/reporting Murder Mysteries: Keith Morrison
Best Back-to-Back Radio Hosts who both have a quirky panache for telling anecdotes: CBC Radio 2’s Tom Allen (Shift) & Rich Terfry (Drive)
Best Diner in Canada: The Court Street Café in Thunder Bay (Is it still open?)
Best Feathered Friends in Halifax: The Geese at the Public Gardens (if Gus had feathers, he'd win for sure.)
Best Smasmodic (in an awesome way) Stage Presence: Gord Downie
